Been to the Crate once. can't see a reason to go again. The Howling Hops in the same building is better but they have banned footy shirts too.

As I don't wear colours I am welcome anywhere. Me and my 50 nutter stone Island wearing mates that is. Keep them hard core scarfers out I say. We don't want any trouble.

Years ago I went to play golf on the east coast of Scotland and drove into the car park to read

No dogs or women

Sometimes this makes sense - lol

I know a pub that's less than 5 minutes from the ground. In fact I know two.

Loads and loads of good pubs around the ground! That's one thing no one can moan about.

Do any of these bars have a "must wear your jeans around your waist" rule?
Having someone's grubby white undies on display has got to be worse than a football shirt.

I once got turfed out of a bar for having the temerity to wear a stenhousemuir shirt. The same shirt got me a clump at Liverpool street station by a yid calling me a 'west ham cunt'. I thought 'how the fuck do you know?'

The 'warriors' play in purple, nowhere near claret. My mates were ROFL ing all over the gaff

Not really NS. If you wanna drink in there before or after spectating the soccer down the road I'm sure you can do so as long as you're well behaved and don't wear colours.

Also literally every town centre I've been to in the country at weekends has had at least a few gafs with a "no football colours" rule.

Having a ban on club colours is literally no different to a bar banning short sleeves or trainers.

If these restrictions seem too draconian or unfair then potential punters are free to pick another pub.

Thing is though mashed they are tarring EVERY WHU fan with being like that... IF they misbehave and chuck their carlsberg all over Cuthberts chunky sweater then bar him... otherwise ...I think it's a fucking diabolical liberty

Hang on did Eddie B really compare the banning of football shirts in the pub to the banning of people due to the colour of their skin?

Fucking hell Eddie, I knew you were thicker than a Whale's cock but this is a different gravy now.

Re: Pubs near the stadium that have become "established" West Ham drinking venues
I dunno Soldo, but the pubs around Upton Park were generally all HOME pubs and made that way through about 100 years of fans drinking in them.

As far as the beard clay graphic designers in Hackney Wick are probably concerned, we've just rocked up and took over their space.

But besides that, they're not the only pub in the world to have some sort of dress code and watching some of the reactions to them having one on here is fucking bizarre.

It's not some sort of discrimination, they probably just don't fancy a load of rowdy pissed up blokes getting in the way of their organic craft ale pie and artisan chips served on a roof tile.

I'd imagine though if a few reasonably well behaved and non-colours wearing spectators wanted a few pints in there before/after there won't be a problem.

Re: Pubs near the stadium that have become "established" West Ham drinking venues
... are there any HOME pubs then mashed?? What about the away crowd have they got a designated watering hole or is it just try your luck and keep your Northern'est under wraps??

Last few years I had a ST we alternated between the Wakefield and the Central... never minded the away mob in the Central... 99/100 they behaved themselves in there...

Re: Pubs near the stadium that have become "established" West Ham drinking venues
Its not really a "home" pub though is it? It's just a boozer that happens to be located relatively close to the OS, which we've only just moved into.
